The trains are what make a layout a model railroad instead of a large diorama. So here's the list of my locomotives. It is current as of June 2021 and will be updated as I get new stuff.

LEHIGH VALLEY RAILROAD (LV): EQUIPMENT ROSTER
Life-Like: ALCo Century C-628The second engine of the this make, model, and road number I've owned, this one is a dummy (in contrast to my previous one which was analog-controlled). I'll consist it with 627; it will provide a realistic consist without the trouble and expense of acquiring a second Bowser unit.
Road Number: 638 Dates of Operation:
Plans: upgrade details, touch up paint, convert to knuckle couplers, maybe add a sound decoder |
Proto 2000: EMD GP18This unit was another lucky find. LV GP18s in this paint scheme are hard to come by. But I found one! 303 will work road trains along with other first generation power (e.g. F units).
Road Number: 303 Dates of Operation: Q2 2020 - present Operation: DCC (silent) Status: Operational, needs minor work |
READING COMPANY (RDG): EQUIPMENT ROSTER
The Reading Railroad runs passenger service on my layout, and provides some freight service.
Freight
Passenger
Rapido: Budd RDC-2
The Reading Company ran RDC's in Bethlehem in 1971, so I bought one of these in miniature. The RDC-2 has a baggage compartment for those taking longer trips and plenty of coach seating.
Road Number: 9165 Dates of Operation: Q2 2019 - present Operation: DCC (sound) Status: Operational |
ERIE LACKAWANNA RAILROAD (EL): EQUIPMENT ROSTER
While my operations won't capture EL operations at all, you may see an EL ALCo unit floating around the layout on occasion.
PENNSYLVANIA VALLEY EXCURSION RAILWAY (PVER): EQUIPMENT ROSTER
LOCOMOTIVES
Bachmann Alco 2-6-0This locomotive pulls local excursions around the Pennsylvania Valley Excursion Company's small oval next to the Lehigh Valley's main line.
Road Number: 01 (3233 painted) Dates of Operation: Q4 2018 - present QTY: 1 Operation: DCC (Sound) Status: In the shop (Wheel damage) |
Bachmann Alco 2-6-0
ROLLING STOCK
As of now, the PVER has a combine and an excursion car. I plan to expand this to include some coaches to build a more impressive consist.
Bachmann: 1860-1880 Era CombineThis car is the only closed car the PVER has, but hopefully they update their fleet to increase their capacity soon, especially for sweltering days and cold weather.
Bachmann: Open Sided Excursion Car with SeatsWhen the weather is great, tourists can take a trip on this car and enjoy the fresh air.

CONTROLLERS
NCE Power CabThis is my second one of these now, since I had to replace my first one after it broke. It's a great controller and I highly recommend it. It's especially useful for programming my CVs.

MRC Railpower 1370My last DC controller died (it was old) and I recieved an MRC Railpower 1370 as a replacement. It seems to work well but it doesn't get much use these days.
