Hi everyone,
In your visits here you may have noticed that I don't post on this blog often. I'm just busy, I guess. I'm repurposing this page. From March 2020 onward, all blog posts will be links to longer, more thought out and purposeful articles instead of the tweet-sized things I've been posting. I hope to post these bi-weekly. I'm currently under a ban from setting up floor layouts by my parents. I'm working on making my permanent space for a layout, and have been railfanning in the meantime. Due to this, I've reconstructed my website, with half being modeling and half being railfanning.
However, I have been doing research on different locomotives to buy. I've made some selections, and also have run out of money. *checks date* Don't worry, it's only...seven months until Christmas *laughs nervously*
If you want to see my purchase plan, go to my page titled "Wish List." I have bought two of the locomotives, the Rapido Budd RDC with DCC and ESU LokSound and the Bachmann Alco S4 with DCC and Soundtraxx Sound Value. I know I haven't posted in a while, but my last full day of school (before exams, which are shortened days) is Wednesday. Hallelujah! - HO Hobbyist "When railroading time comes, you can railroad - but not before." - Robert A. Heinlein Hey everyone,
Long time no see. I have plans to overhaul my equipment roster, but I don't have the money right now. I do intend to set up a space for my layout so I can sell my old stuff to get money towards the new stuff. Just wanted to get this out there. Hopefully I'll see you tomorrow! --- HO Hobbyist As usual, the "dead" in "deadlines" doesn't seem to strike fear in my heart. Unless it's for school.12/31/2018 Hi, I'm HO Hobbyist, and I'm a model railroader. Let's (fail) to get started.
Christmas has come and gone, and my model railroad, well, it hasn't come yet. HO Hobbyist: This is HO123, that's Hotel Oscar 1 2 3 to dispatch. Dispatch: This is dispatch. HO Hobbyist: I'm still sitting here waiting for another train to pickup these hoppers and gondolas. Any idea where it is? Dispatch: Give me one second, Mr. Hobbyist. HO Hobbyist: No problem. *Click* *Type* *Click* Dispatch: What is your location? HO Hobbyist: I'm at [censored for privacy reasons]. Dispatch: Ok HO123, I apologize for the lack of communicaiton. Train 4X10, that's 4 X-ray 1 0 is still missing. Three search parties and two maintenance of way trains are searching for the train. I currently do not know when it will arrive. HO Hobbyist: Do you have any idea? Dispatch: Don't get your hopes up, but I think April 21, 2019 sounds reasonable. HO Hobbyist: 10/4. Hopefully I'll have a layout by Easter. Hopefully. In the meantime, I intend to keep posting once a week. Have a happy and safe New Year. I'll see you Saturday, January 5, 2019. Announcer: Last call for train 2018, last call for train 2018 boarding. Train leaves at midnight. Train 2019 will be boarding shortly. Until Next Time, HO Hobbyist "Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that both engines have failed, and we will be stuck here for some time. The good news is that you decided to take the train and not fly." --- Adrian Wallwork Next weekend I will devote myself to making the area for the layout closer to ready.
Meanwhile, I've been making videos. I'm almost two weeks ahead! See you soon! Hi. Welcome to my second post.
If you're looking for an announcement that I have started, stop reading now. This post is not a progress post. I am going to outline my posting schedule for you. YOUTUBE:
I wanted to get this out there so you guys would know what to expect. DISCLAIMER: High school comes before the channel, unfortunately. Due to this, I may not be able to follow this schedule as much as I would like. Before I begin, I would like to thank you for coming. Welcome to my website and don't hesitate to check out my social media. (You must have come from one - Instagram or YouTube, but the other is great too.)
On this blog, I will post updates to my railroad. What I've done since the last post. There was no last post, though. So I guess I could go way back. Like, back in November. 2016. |
